Description
Carbon Grey Satin is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Brazil. The quarry has the ability to produce a significant amount of material with a consistent grain structure, making this granite perfect for large projects as well as for kitchen countertops. The Satin finish brings out more depth in this stone and provides a unique texture. To produce the Satin finish on this granite, the slabs are brushed, which opens up the pores in the stone, making it more porous. Due to that, it is recommended that extra coats (often 2-4) of sealer to be applied to fully seal this granite. This granite can also be installed in full sun applications, making it ideal for backyard barbecues and similar installations. Finally, a mesh backing is adhered to the back of the stone to ensure safety while handling and fabricating the slab.
